We are doing a concert series for the people of Darfur within a virtual reality of Second Life. Second Life is a virtual world where players create, do business, and in effect live a "second life." We wish to donate all proceeds from our efforts for the purpose of alleviating suffering of the people of Darfur. We are signing artists now for the concert series to begin in mid-September 2007. Second life at this time has nearly seven million residents, at any one time upwards form 30000 people from around the world are logged in. We will be broadcasting over a number of sims. There is a need for help here if you can as over 200,000 have died and 2.5 million are at risk, mostly women and children. The venue for the concerts is at Frolic International Music Festival on Second Life. You can play from any computer that has the ability to connect to the Second Life program and can stream. Your avatar will be clothed you need not be. This is a gig from the heart; nobody involved will be making a financial gain from this concert series Excellent world-wide exposure but more importantly a chance to help fellow citizens of the world.
