Anyway, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who gets aggrivated by ignorant hip-hop. It also perturbs me that they make the gross, gross amount of money they make for their "music."

oh, cmon steph... it's no dif than any other genre when it's run it's race... remember when all those crap hair bands came out with little to add...
like firehouse, dangerous toys, etc? god bless em... but they were making craploads of money for rehashing the stuff that came before them too.
I personally like much of hip hop. lyrically eminem is pretty good from a poetic standpoint. so is method man. Certainly good from a musical standpoint too.
I listen to stuff like the Insane Clown Possee and try to understand it from the frame of reference that "i'ts just the next generations equivolent to black sabbath". ICP is an interesting group.
love the song ppppow even tho it is so wrong... and the fact that it is so wrong is what attracts these kids... just like black sabbath.

i never really liked rap that much maybe back in the 80s when it meant something but it just seems that a rappers career for some, not all rappers is to put out an album and never be hear from again and when they do put out another album its so lyrically gross you wonder what it is people see in the music, but i will however say that country music no matter how much i dont like most of its stuff can at least keep its fans on a basis of releasing music to them in a decent amount of time.
