Colorado Blues

O.K. - so, here I go - I've been playing 44 years, and mostly originals. This time around, this band - I wanted to develop an original sound - I know that's a tough thing to accomplish - but, if you would take the time to listen to Good Lovin' - and let me know if I've accomplished this - well, I would appreciate it. And, if you have the time - listen to a few more - let me know if you think I've developed the original sound. Thanks.

We typically do Performing Arts Centers, and the mountain area Festivals (Conifair, Evergreen at the Lake, Bailey Days, etc.). Email me at Patrick.McAllister@OnceRemovedBluesBand.com

In answer to your question, I hafta say "no," you haven't created an original sound. Your choice of genre has limited you to make this goal impossible. I truly believe that everything in blues that can be done, has been done, & long before your time, as well. Various instrumentations, different vocal arrangements, it's been done & done & done again.

However, that isn't to say that your sound isn't a great one. I love your entire band's sound.

The vocals are what really impress me, though. Very very nice. Your lead voice reminds me of a guy I played with in the Chef Eric Band, as in it has that good range & gravelly tone that makes the blues oh so much bluesier! (He was the main reason I stayed with that band as long as I did. Eric was nearly impossible to work with!) I only wish we could have sounded this good. We did have something that you don't, though - a washboard player who couldn't play the washboard. What a waste of time that was for me!

Yep, that is partying music to be sure! Keep it up & best of luck & welcome to the forum & stuff.

No way. As soon as I saw "blues," I thought "probably not, but I'll listen."
Sounds like country blues and some folk thrown in the middle.
That's my answer.

EDIT: Oh great. Phil beat me to it :P

On another note, I like Killin' Magnetics' intro.

No. AKA Philbys comment.
But its good.
If you wrote it from your heart, it dont get any more original.
Play it. sing it. love it.

no on the style question..

Sounds like you gargled with razor blades/studying the vocals from the "boss tones".
