I dunno. Sounds a bit ambitious to me.
I think I'd try it out on the local level before going worldwide, & advertise it in local music stores & CL & such.
See how it's received at the local/regional level before putting too awful much work into it.
Are you selling it, or is it gonna be a free service? Will you need advertising to cover your costs & efforts? Can you get that advertising, & how will you incorporate it into the site?
Lotsa stuff to consider before taking the plunge, if you're expecting to make it work.
Good luck. It might turn out to be the next greatest thing, if you approach it with the right amount of planning & forethought.
