It is a great service. I used it to release two albums. It cost about $60 to upload 2 full length CDs and it is now available world wide through all the major mp3 sales sites. I highly recommend it! All profits go straight to you! It takes about 2 - 3 months for your albums to be available on iTunes but they come up in a couple of weeks on Napster, Amazon and on the others.
Plus they have great promotions once you are a member on other band merch and cd duplication. It's definetly worth it! Oh and another bonus. You get an extra 5%(i think 5%) if someone buys your music from a link from your website with iTunes.

tunecore was ok for me.i got my album on virtually all the online venues.it sold ok.nothing big cause im not known, but dont look to make any dough online that way.your royalty check wont make you happy! i get nine cents on every 99 cent song they buy.i have made a wholping 20 bucks so far and thats more than the average seller..only because i promoted myself and had a small label ..a mom an pop type thing called soundwaves to push me.which was simply to give me money to get on the sites.heck..i dont even have a album cover on any sites.
and my cd wasnt produced well cause it was all me playing everything and all mixing was done small time.it wasnt the sound anyways it was making music that inspired me to get out there.wether or not anyone likes it doesnt matter on those places.its just if you want to get out there a bit.dont expect miracles.(funny..im a christian..should i be saying that???)
just if you wanna get all the stuff heard and out there then tunecore is fine.they will even email you and tell you "you have royalties!"
like i said.you dont get anything.i had a 70 cent royalty check once.you can have them send it to you or use paypal and have it put right in your hugh bak account!
good luck.i hope you sell.

It's worth mentioning that tunecore doesn't provide the necessary publicity to really sell an album, but all things considered, it's a really fantastic distribution service, hits all the major electronic distribution sites in one shot. The mentors at the music conference I was at last month all strongly recommended it.
