Musician Forum - Band Discussion Board - BandMix

What are the benefits of using a management company? Aside from losing your own money. I'm kind of new to the idea, does anyone recommend one here in the San Diego area? I have to admit it would be cool to have someone take care of setting up gigs and sh*t. Anyone out there? thanks,
