Gday America.

In 2011, Im planning to set up a U.S tour for aussie thrash metal band "Torana". I was wondering if anyone would be able to suggest venues in your area (or any others) we should not miss when travelling through.

Sorry man I cant help you much. Very small townish about here. Perhaps some of the guys in the DFW area could.
Metal venues in our area go broke fast.
A few of the pool halls may "host" a band now and again.
If you don't mind playing for the same ten crack heads all night.
Problem is around here the bigger venues / crowds are CW oriented because that pays.
The pseudo cowboys seem to have the money, the metal heads get three buddies to push their Nisan to the club then cant afford the cover charge.
Try doing a search in the Dallas Fortworth area or perhaps Houston.

I'm in Fort Worth Texas. There are a few good places to put them.
Ridglea theater is a great venue for metal
The bandwagon (used to be the Door in Ft. Worth)
House of Blues
Paladium Ballroom
Fat Daddy's Sound Shack (smaller venue)
That maybe kinda sorta should help.
