I gave it a listen as well and can appreciate the skill level, but kinda sounded like Dracula music to me. No offense intended Bro.

Awesome Irmy!

Love to have them.

I now have a better idea what you were talkin about on the "Stackin' ol' synth topic thread , concerning fat pipe organ voice. The effect of traditional registration layered over vintage patches is a cooler effect then I would have imagined. I was gonna say shades of "Tomita" but...naaaaaa.

I'd call it pure Irmisul.

Bear in mind that there is a lot of vintage synth stuff that I've never heard, like that French guy...Oxygen?
Perhaps you can enlighten me on some others.
as you may recall me mentioning, I was once a fan of Tangerine Dream, but I prefer the classical renditions better. Actually, Emerson lake and Palmer had their hand in that too, with Mussorgsky's Pitchers at an Exhibition.

I'm still behind the times with some of the newer audio tecknology. Still don't have an MP3 player other then computer, so bear with me. I'll confer with my geek head Son Nate on how best to load your work.
once again, Thanks much. :D

Oh you are really speaking my language.

The French dude you're thinking of (Oxygen) is Jean Michel Jarre. I really love alot of his recordings and he is a hell of a showman in concert.

Tomita was my real first inspiration to grab at all the orchestrational possibilities you have with the synth. But ELP's live recording of Pictures At An Exhibition was just the crem de la creme. Masterful. I remember listening to that thing as a 12 year old...over and over again, studying Emerson's licks.

If you dont know of him yet, I'd also take a listen to Brian Eno and Daniel Lanoise's landmark albums "Music for Airports and Elevators" and "Hybrid". I am sure that those two recordings invented what later became known as new age. Whether it's your thing or not, it's good to see how these genres were born.

If I can think of anymore, I'll let you know.

Speakin' of old synth bands...you guys ever hear of "Tonto's Expanding Headband?"

Thry did cheesy music, mostly like 1-4-5 stuff with synths...still..it was almost new at the time

SCARY! No cowbells! I shall fight this till the end of time! Lol.

P.S. I wrote a great riff last night, scary. I have this hookup for my guitar now, but I am annoyed because I am waiting to get this software from my friend (Which should allow me to record). I will go hunt the internet today for something that I can use for free for that. When I go through basic Sound Recorder it is just the plain guitar, and it sounds horrible.

Peace out, GuitarAnatomy.

:( it's gotta be a drumer that can't keep beat to any song without a bass to lead him. and even then he thinks every song is Wipe Out.
