Once you've agreed to the deal, you have no right to bitch about it.

I got called by a Church that a friend of mine goes to (he's a Christian drummer), on Saturday (before last) asking if I would be interested in playing (as a hired musician) in the worship band. My friend had already told me about it and that it pays $120 bucks and I told him I'd like that so he gave them my number. They said they could use me the next day but, if I couldn't play that next day, they'd understand, late notice and all, but I told them to send me a list of the (5) songs we were doing and I'd go ahead and play the next day as a free audition. Well, it went over well (I rode with my friend, so wasn't out any expenses) and the band director said it would pay $100 (less than what my friend had said, but what the hey) and wondered if I would come back the next Sunday and I told them, "Sure". So, this Sunday my friend is out of town working so I drive there alone. Everybody gets there at 7:30 so we can rehearse a bit, play the first service from 9 til 10, there's an hour break, and then play the last service from 11 til 12. Afterwards, the band leader talks to me with one of the pastors there and tells me to be there next Sunday and after that he would be talking to the Church about it and after that, I would start getting paid. Bummer!
