I have been recording some stuff at home, but the sound cards in any of my computers are all crap. I have seen several external sound cards, but I have no idea if any of them out there are good enough for recording (recording guitar, piano and vocals). Any tips?

Thanks!

May I suggest a USB mixer, like a Alesis Multimix 8 or one of the Yamaha USB mixers.

Hey Man,

If I understand you correctly, you could probably just get a USB interface and be fine. Musician's Friend, Music123, AMS, etc. has quite a few for less than $100. That way you're recording input will be digital instead analog and your sound card will really only be needed for playback/monitoring. Hope that helps.

Or what RGMixProject just suggested whilst I was typing........ :D
