Here's a new pedal I built...

it's based on the schematic for the vintage 'dr q' by electro harmonics.

It's my first attempt at building a pedal from the resistors up.

what do you think?

sounds unbelievable... very vintage sounding auto-wah/envelop filter...
ever hear edi brickel(spelling) 'shove me in to shallow water before I get too deep"? -sounds exactly like that. vcool.

I love it. I wanted a mutron but was afraid to try a much more difficult schematic but after having heard how 'magnificently retro' this thing actually sounds... it's a 10.

Enjoy the new pedal, maybe you could market a few. I might have some interest in one myself. I like to have a box full of stuff for recording purposes.

Recently Ive thought about getting a low wattage tube amp kit to build, maybe I should try some pedals first to get my feet wet. Im bad sometimes about starting something and then not finishing it.

I bought 'water slide decal' stock from smallbearelec.com (you can get this from model building/craft stores)

I found a neat image that was unique after searching the net for hours.

photoshoped it up a bit and printed out from inkjet to waterslide decal paper and ... sprayed it with krylon clear and let dry...

did a mask on the pedal enclosure so that white would be behind the main image... with krylon, of course,

laid down the water slide decal and cleared over it.

voilla!

jw123... you should def build some pedals. there's virtually zero risk of being shocked while doing it and a ton of resource on the net. tube amps is high voltage... better wear yer rubber underbritches (hehe).

don't think I jump into the biz of selling them anytime soon... too much work involved!
perhaps later on -to fund the next project... (I did really want to be just like stevie wonder and make that mutron!).

Way cool, mike! My dad was an electrical engineer. He tried to get me interested enough to make my own pedals once, & gave me schematics. I hated the guy, & didn't do anything with them, but I wish I had them now. There were schematics for a ring modulator & an attack delay in my papers at one time, but alas, they're long gone now. So's my dad.
