Where is the best place to shop for clothes? Metal Style...

I can't stand most of the stuff at Hot Topic...

Would like to find some cool clothes that are a break from the normal black T and Jeans style....

Silly Question huh
?

:?: :D Hell I'm always in Camo or jeans, and scrubs at work. Wear loose fitting cover shirt so joe public dont freak over the guns I carry.
You could do your own line of Heavy Metal Attire and get rich.
Iron Man Wear or something. :D Dont laugh, guys have gotten rich off of lesser ideas and you seem to know what you want from the style.
I mean if people will pay more for a pair of jeans that already have a hole in em. (I prefer to wear my own out)

Goodwill store...yard sales...

I'm always surprised how much nearly new stuff I find, someone buys it, finds out it's a size too small or someone gives it to them as a christmas gift, it's worn twice and they send it to Goodwill or put it in a yard sale. I got a pair of boots a few years ago with no scratches on the soles at all, one small drip of what looked like sheetrock mud on one of them, 5 bucks and literally brand new. Scraped off the sheetrock mud and I'm still wearing them, usually onstage.

Same for the stage jackets I wear, all came from resale shops. Never paid more than $5 for one yet. One is leather and still smelled like new leather. I've found then with store tags still on them, obviously never worn.

The one thing I do is make sure everything is washed before I wear it, I don't even take a second look at shoes unless they look new, and they're still sprayed heavily with Lysol before my feet go in...and allowed to dry of course.

Check around, you never know what you'll find. But look things over close, sometimes buttons are missing or zippers don't work, buttons are easy to replace but I don't have a working sewing machine to fix a zipper so I avoid those. I used to send them to my mother but her eyes can't handle much sewing any more so I do it myself, I've always done minor things like buttons, I learned how at about age 7 or 8. Hemmed my own pants for many years, you couldn't find the right length, I had to get them too long and do a new hem.

Hmmm...heavy metal fashions...try the plus size dept at Fashion Bug...I really have no idea why I responded to this thread...I always wear daishikis onstage, myself...to celebrate my origin

LOL I went to a GWAR show and the lights spit blood on us. I don't think they care what they wear.

Actually, most of the guys I know that are into that style go to the Army surplus...they have lots of old gear & new styles too...boots of course :) But I was surprised when I was there last in Feb at how much new stuff they had as well. T's especially, camo in every color and lots of cool pants that were new. Hope that suits your tastes! 8)

A friend of mine went to see GWAR and never came back, Are they kinda like the circus?

I guess my idea of metal clothes is at a gay mens shop or S/M shop. I can still recall front row at Judas Priest waving my fist at Halford in studs. I always wondered where are the women?

Ooof, Rob Halford. The name that makes any regular metal guy cringe.

I saw a guy cry once when he found out about Rob. DOH!

r u kidding me: the whole genre is latently homo... long hair, ripped clothes, eye shadow, and they're always doing gay stuff... think about phil ensolmo jumping around on a bed with his junk hanging out - AND NO GIRLS IN THE ROOM????!!!??

TELL ME JUDAS PRIEST DIDN'T LOOK LIKE THEY JUST WALKED OUT OF THE 'BLUE OYSTER CLUB' FROM POLICE ACADEMY 5!

(DON'T TAKE ME TOO SERIOUSLY)
