M1 Piano Keyboard Info?

I am really into old school late 80's house, acid house style with that classic clunky maj5th piano chords etc.
Eg: State 808, Alison Limerick etc.
I recently heard somewhere that the M1 Piano is what I am after, in order to recreate that style of piano sound like I would have heard at the Hacienda back in the day.
What is special about the M1 and where can I get one today, or what is better for my tastes?
