Hi guys! I making Drummy—a new kind of drum kit designed for home usage.
Drummy includes 9 wireless drums and cymbals. You can place them on the table and floor, and play by your fingers and feet. No drumsticks required. It's portable and neighbour-friendly.
Drummy connects to your computer via USB and works as a MIDI-device with every DAW you like: GarageBand, EZ Drummer, Fruity Loops, etc.
There will be an application which will help you learn to play favourite songs, it will track your fails and progress. And there will be leaderboard to compete with community like in Guitar Hero.
Thing I love the most about Drummy—you can play it with a unmiced acoustic guitar.
If you're interesting in this project, you can subscribe for updates at http://getdrummy.com
Trying to figure out does the world need this stuff. What do you think?

There are all sorts of pad devices out there already. The problem with NOT using drumsticks - you can never be as fast as a drummer who is using them. The problem with pads is typically the velocity sensitivity - how many levels of trigger are there? That's what makes real drums/cymbals always sound better than pads with sound samples.

Yeah, we have tested several drum pads like Akai and its sensivity is awful. Our product will be enough sensitive to imitate acoustic drums. Other important distinctions from common pads are: you can set any drums you want in any order and you can use your feet on bass drum. And now we plan to add drumsticks designed for drummy like optional accessorize
