I'm one of the the creators of a new app called Shimmeo designed to make it easy to shoot music videos of your own band. I know getting noticed is hard, and most bands don't have the time or budget to create videos, so I made it really easy: upload your song, shoot some video, and pick a "style" (think: instagram filter). To celebrate the release and help encourage people to try it out, we teamed up with Eventide (http://www.eventideaudio.com) on a contest: submit your video of an original song for a chance to win $3,000 worth of gear and get your music heard by some industry greats.
