was carrying some gear down a flight of stairs and I dropped my &%$^ing guitar. I am not good by any sort of fixing guitars but nothing broke except a cracked neck *its not deep*.

But the guitar cuts out sometimes when plugged in to an amp. Not entirely I can still hear it but barley.

I am hoping to fix this instead of heading to a shop as I don't think I have the money to fix it. The guitar is an ibanez GIO and is 7 years old. If you have any advice id appreciate thanks

'cuts out' - could just be a loose wire. Can you pull the pickguitar/control plate and take a look?

too bad it wasn't a telecaster....then you'd only be looking at repairs to the stairs.
