Virtual Synth-Machine

Salut, buna ziwa, and hello.

I have been looking for a good program to essentially turn my laptop into an instrument -- plain and simple.
In my search, I found a site called KeyFame.com which is selling a "Virtual Synth-Machine" program that seems to be what I'm looking for.
However, there is little to no information on the site, and I've had a difficult time finding anything beyond two fan-made videos on youtube (one of which was little more than a teaser trailer for the software).

Has anyone here seen what I'm talking about, this program? Does anyone here use it?

I'd be surprised if nobody in the world has tried it before; it's been on the market for a few years and, apparently, even had a trial version on the site at one point.

Any help on this would be greatly appreciated, as I don't want to spend any hard earned (and in-short-supply) money on something that could either be a scam or just not as good as the website would have me believe.

There's plenty of free VSTi's (virtual instruments) that are controlled via MIDI signal (either live playing or using a sequencer/recording program). You can also use a 'virtual keyboard' - using your computer keyboard as a playing device.

Try Arturia's THE EXPERIENCE.

http://www.arturia.com/evolution/en/pro ... intro.html

It's a combo key/laptop setup that does a ton of stuff.
If you like weird, this is for you...and I like weird, plenty.

my humble advice would be to check out kontakt.

there is a limited free player.

industry standard for sampling.

1 gig concert piano... assuming you have the ram, this will give you the best sounding piano I've ever heard.

scripting can personalize a performance view to control just about anything via midi.

you can find tons of demos on youtube.

check this video out... even if you aren't into this you can appreciate that if you close your eyes you'd never guess this is a keyboard (I wouldn't anyway)

and for drums...

Thank you all for the help, you've actually given me a lot more to look for and names to the things that I want.

But, this post was really asking about the specific program I mentioned.

Have any of you used the program? This, "Virtual Synth-Machine" from Keyfame.com?

We were trying to give you some more-known (and even free) options.

I know, and I do thank you. I'll most likely be going with those options, seeing as I am on a low budget.
But I'm more curious than anything now lol

I mean, if this is a real program, not a scam or anything like that, then it should be made more well known than it is. It looks like a great program, and I'd want to give them a little more business, seeing as it seems to be a semi-indie project sort of thing.
