Yesterday I got one of those Carvin Catalogs out of the blue, Im sure you get them yourself.

If you look in the PA section they have a PA Management device that does the same thing as the DBX Rack Pack that Haley and I talk about on here.

Next time you get one of those check it out.

I had to throw it away, I was scared I was gonna call and get one of those 8 string guitars. How do you tune one of those? LOL!

My wife said if you buy a guitar from there dont get that green color on the cover, thats an ugly guitar! LOL!

Jw that p.a. management devise Carvin sells doesn't compare. Last I read about it (6 months ago) it doesn't have the same capabilities that the driverack has. It cost the same as the driverack but doesn't measure up. My advise to anyone looking for front of house sound management get the Driverack. Nothing I have seen comes close. Now their guitars is a whole other story I LIKE THEM!

Thanks for the heads up JW.

Yeah, I could paper my house with those catalogs, I get them all the time.

I have done a lot of reading up on both the Carvin and the DBX systems.

As for now, I am laser focused on getting our Not For Profit ( PsalmSound Ministries ) up and running.

That and any available funds go into materials for my shop renovations, so any further band purchases will have to wait.

I totally understand the money side of things right now.

I guess Im getting older, cause I can go play an amp or guitar at GC or some store, and Im not going crazy about buying it, ussually I go home and play my own stuff and just say, heck I dont need it.

One thing I saw on Youtube that had me intrigued is that Fractul Amp, I think I spelled it right. One of the best preamp setups Ive ever heard!

Oh well we can dream cant we?

Dream . . . and plan for the future. 8)

I think my next major purchase will need to be a larger mixer.

We with increasing regularity are called to run the sound for the shows we get invited to.
Either someone really did not plan well. ( or just plain had no experiencing )
Some "professional" did not show up. ( or dragged ass in late )
Or we just have the most appropriate equipment.

Eventuality I figure on one of those 48 channel 6 monitor send boards similar to the 20 x 4 I have now.
Perhaps even an upgrade to DMX controlled lighting.

Today I'm raking change for lunch money.
