Hey has anyone played one of the new Gibson Melody Makers yet??? I see they came out at the NAMM show, and won't be in Guitar Center (sorry, it's the closest "major retailer" to me) until Feb 2... the prices are showing around $350 which seems pretty cheap for a Gibson (who happen to be HORRIBLY over-priced anyway) But anyway I was just wondering if they are even worth checking out.

The only person I know who has one says quality and playability are on par with a $2200 LP Standard. He loves it.

Personally I've never played one but I must say I like the look...
