I have been looking to get one of these but I can't find them. Does anyone know of a reputable online dealer where I can get one?

Wow! This thing is amazing! It really makes a HUGE DIFFERENCE in the tonal quality of your amp. I am using it with a Mesa Boogie Mark IV ran through a Mesa 2x12 Rectifier speaker Cab with vintage 30's. I can't wait to see how it sounds through my Crate V30 with 1x12 combo at rehearsal Tues. I leave that amp at the rehearsal room. If it makes the same dif. in harmonic quality in the Crate I would recomend it to anyone. I will let ya'll know. I found it at a local Music store the only one in Houston that has them that I could find.

Well we rehearsed last night and the Xotic BB preamp sounds killer through any amp. very natural and warm sounding indeed! It is basically an overdrive pedal. I pulled my Boss Super Overdrive off my pedalboard and replaced it with this little MAGIC BOX!

No Capt. I haven't heard of that. What is it? Back in the 70's I used to like the Big Muff. Is it anything like that?

I've been saying since I got mine last summer - it's a must have. I love my BB Preamp. The Andy Timmons video on YouTube sold me a year ago. Mixed with my Mesa Triaxis = bliss.
Glad you like yours J. Because they are awesome.

Colors, I had read a post or thread some time back about how much you liked yours and that is one of the things I kept in mind as I was considering getting one. There are other videos on youtube covering these little pedals. One guy was using it with a Fender Hotrod and when he turned on the BB he instantly had SRV's sound. When I use it with the clean channel on my amp it is the PERFECT blues sound. Very warm, fat, and not to distorted. I play a variety of music and the BB Preamp is a great tool.

A FENDER MENDER actually has a hookup to 2 of your tube positions and provides an actual GAIN channel and I think REVERB.
I never owned one though, as I am a stomp box guy.
Oh and they are 40$, not 99$ like this jackass is trying to get.

We played Fri. the 30th and Sat. the 31st at some pretty cool clubs. This band hires out the sound. From the first downbeat I could not beleive my ears I was in HEAVEN this is the sound I have been looking for MY WHOLE CAREER! The BB preamp into the Mesa Boogie amps those go together like bread and butter. Just awesome!
