I have that Shure Beta 87a that yod talks about and they are the best I have used short of a $1500 Neuman!

The Audix OM7 is great and pretty reasonably priced

I'd say a Sennheiser MK4...I just bought 1 a month ago...I LOVE IT...WAYYY better then any of those bright Rode Mics...like my NT1A...best part is its only $300
