What I have plus four 18" subs & four three way speakers with a crossover, equalizer, and enough amps to push it all as an add on to my current system. Let us throw in some lights, lasers, fog, and pyrotechnics to flavor to taste.

Dream rig... This leaves a lot of room for creativity Viking. :)

I like the basses that I have now, so I'd keep them (Traben Chaos Obsession fretted 5er and Yamaha RBX 460 4-string fretless), and I'd probably add a high end bass of some sort just to say I have a high end bass in my collection. Yeah, I'm superficial, and I'm OK with that. :D

I have an Ampeg BA115HP combo amp, and that's just fine for small gigs and recording. I'd probably get a Phil Jones Bass amp and cab for doing medium to large size venues.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with what I have. So, I guess I have my dream rig! :) WOOHOO!!

It seems everyone is pretty happy with what they have already. Makes this a kinda boring post. Even my original isnt too far off from what I currently play.

I like that baritone guitar though (7 string)

And dont worry Pocket, im really superficial like that too. I was actually looking at a 7 string (-1 +2) but the tenor bass really wouldnt be too much different from my 6.

Forgive my sacrilege but I really don't think a bassest needs more strings than his guitarist.

I'd like a Wilmer 5-string...I forget the exact model, but I'll know it if I ever see it again...my goodness what a joyful instrument to play!

If I had the bucks, I'd also like a Ricky 4-string, just cuz they're so different.

And some of the Eden amps I've seen are very good...

Ive found it doesnt matter what I play thru I sound the same so for me there is really no such thing as a dream rig.

Tone comes from your heart, soul and fingers and if you have that you will find your sound with whatever you are using.

Ive also learned that tone has nothing to do with volume. Big rigs are just that BIG. I think we like them for the look more than the sound.

For some reason I thought about this again. The ultimate for me would be to have the exact gear that a band Im covering used for songs I do by them, for every song I play, Iwould have a wharehouse full of gear!
