Little baby booty socks!

I've heard of people putting socks on mics to kill transient noise, emphasize the mid bass and bass range, mellow highs etc. but in trying this myself I found the loss of sensitivity and frequency was too great.

Then I thought well if the material were thinner like on my goose neck pop filter.....

Grabbed some baby socks of my nieces and they work great. Much thinner material and they are a perfect fit for both condenser and dynamic mic capsules.
I've also heard pantyhose gives a similar effect as well.

I designed a cab a while back and had some amp carpet left over, thats what i made my socks out of. It lets the highs in, but the wind stays out.
It also keeps sand and mud from jamming up my assault rifle too.
