I live in the Berkshires -more or less- does anybody know of a fast, reliable and not too expensive place to get my Mesa/Boogie Subway Blues amp fixed or at least looked over without having to shell out a fortune upfront. BTW it hums like a SOB (not Son of Boogie.)

My subway rocket burns thru V-1 tubes like crazy, you might try replacing the tubes one at a time and see if that fixes it. Those are soem great little amps. I run all mine on a high gain setting, last night we did this big outdoor gig and i took my Triple Rec and it was humming pretty bad, but I dont hear it when we get going. I think that hum is the sound of live rock n roll power. You know when you kick it off standby and you hear that hum, that there is fixing to be trouble.

I live in Memphis and there is a couple of tube techs that work on my amps. I had to replace the switchs on my Subway once cause it was acting up. You may have a grounding problem if you use a lot of pedals, Ive got one of those hum eliminator thingies that does a good job of getting rid of some noise.

Good Luck
