my friend the policeman...

actually an old gtr student of mine... and friend from highschool... who is now a beat cop... had inquired about buying a pedal from me... so I figured I'd whip up something special for him...

when you stomp on the 'hot pursuit' switch it not only turns on the fuzz... but a red and blue flashing led.

I figured it'd be fun to say things like " the other day I was playing and I had the dui all the way up and the felonies blasted with the mph set at 12 and the bias somewhere in the middle... and man did she scream".

anywho... this was my design and along the way a few other folks asked about getting one so... looks like it's a hit. Anywho...

I also fiddled around with this tremolo schematic and it ended up sounding awesome... check the clip marked 'skullmolo' here:

I'm realizing that starring directly at skullmolo is quite unnerving... UGLIEST PEDAL EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Do you build Fuzz face and Octavia with true bypass?

The police fuzz is a fuzz face... it's a late 60's/early 70's silicon fuzz with bc109 transistors.

afa octavia... I haven't yet... but you never know...

How much will ya sell me one for? This is PERFECT for my signature "ending song" that I play at the end of almost every show I play, when I'm in a band. The song is "I'm A Cop!" & it's funny as heck & I NEED one, mike.

That thing is the shiznits!

Do you ever make bass pedals?

lol

If you can make a good fuzz face and an octavia, I'd be inclined to buy 'em.

Matter of fact, I bet you could run a pretty good business selling custom pedals to people just on bandmix.

"How much" - one twenty five.

"Do you ever make bass pedals?" I make a compressor that has a switch that optimizes it for bass, the tubescreamer I make has a switch to optimize for bass, and I'm workin' on a fulltone bass drive (which is just a modified tubescreamer).

"Matter of fact, I bet you could run a pretty good business selling custom pedals to people just on bandmix." tbh, between friends, craigslist, and ebay... I'm having a hard time keeping up!

thanks for the replies gentlemen!

Well crap if you are selling custom pedals, try advertising or just telling us like you just did.

Who knows, you might even become more back ordered as I know I could care less what the pedal looks like, it just has to sound like $.

I never gave a fat crap for aesthetics anyway, functionality or just go away.

I agree about sound quality needing to be great... it's why I started building things in the first place.

but I think my niche is obviously going to be building pedals that look as good as they sound - it's a lot more fun!

I hear what the good Cap'n is saying. But not everyone is as pragmatic as he and I.
Freakin cool pedals will sell.

used to know this guy john... who taught gtr in the studio next to mine... he only liked gtrs that were beat to sh*t and would not buy anything new... he bugged the sh*t out of me to buy my ibanez lawsuit (it's really beat!).

some folks just love stuff that looks like crap. I have to admit... I kind of like those relic series gtrs fender makes. perhaps I should do a pedal that looks like it's twenty years old.... yup, that's going on my list. sort of an ambercrombie deal...

Mike,
You are a true artist!
(I cringe to think of what might happen if that D.U.I knob is cranked all the way  )

thank you sir, I try very hard.

the dui is actually a mid boost... so in retrospect I should have wired it up so that when you turn it up it gets muddier... perhaps I should add breathalizer markers like .07, .08, .09, .10, doa...
