What gives?
A few years back about 2005 or so, I sold my Fender Squire and bought myself a Stratocaster it was a DELUXE SERIES in the Tex Mex style, having the single coil at the neck and mid with a double HB at the bridge. Now I see it was discontinued as a limited run by the Fender Corp. Well, I later bought a Fender Stratocaster Jr. and bingo, discontinued!
Then I bought this beautifull ice burst Gibson Le Paul Goddess, guess what.
Freakin discontinued !
Dang, I'll bet parts and service will be either very expensive or non existant should I need such. :(

Nah, they use the same stuff on many other models. They just come up with different features in different color options and give them different names. It's all marketing BS. Some of them are the exact same guitars but are just built in different factories, all the manufacturers do it. Give a yell when you need a part and someone will know where to get it. There are a ton of places on the internet that specialize in that stuff. For instance, here is one you can use when you need to replace the electronics: http://www.guitarelectronics.com/

Hey, thanks for the heads up and info.
I know that when I was gunsmithing, many of the weapons that were of short run before being discontinued were very expensive to repair if you could find parts at all.
Once had to send off to Switzerland for a small shouldered pin.
Fortunately the factory sent one for free. It just showed up at my house one Saturday after I had made an E mail inquirey.
I had already told the owner he was S.O.L., and to come pick up his pistol on Monday.
Thanks again for the info.
