nothing special... just pine, but I thought it's gargantuan size might make it interesting to folks...

Damn, Mike! You oughta build 'em for music store displays!

There is no way you can run them all together & actually use them like this, is there? I mean, the noise must be awful!

why yes of course!

u r 2 kind... if only someone would pay me to do that!

I can't say that I've wired up quite this many b4, but I have easily wired up 65% of this and because of the way I wire it - there is very little signal loss.

I've got 5 true bypass loops on their now... so my signal path when everything is bypassed is no more than a 10' cable. The idea is that I won't ever run every true bypass loop all at once... so much of the setup is truly bypassed in most cases.

thanks for looking gents!

All those pedals and not a looper among them. Wow just wow.

look closer. the boss dd7 has a 40 second looper.
boss's looper is the best IMO.

you can spend 300 on a model with more than 40 seconds(who the hell needs more than a 40 sec phrase?), the ability to save loops, etc... but you can't improve on the basic functionality of the dd7 IMO and nothing but the boss will yield the rock solid quantization that boss is known for on their drum machines and this looper.

Mikey, that looks like those display racks in a music store for pedals. Thats cool. Ive thought of putting a true bypass in my rig to isolate my whammy and chorus pedal they both seem to introduce some noise.

hey there jw123

thanks for the compliment. was nothing really... pine wood, some paint and some velcro...

afa true bypass... I'd swear by it.
compare your gtr thru the pedals (all bypassed) to your gtr straight in and see.
not only is noise a factor but the tiny amount of treble bleed off you get with a few pedals is enough to dull your tone significantly.

if you are serious about a tb pedal...
you could buy one from 'zoo boo' (zbpedals.com)
I'd be happy to lend a hand if you want to build your own...
or 'worste case scenario' I'd be happy to build a custom one for a cpl bux.

here's what you'd need to build a simple one loop bypass yerself...
1 stereo jack
3 mono jack
1 cliff 3pdt
a box
led
led holder
9v jack

you can get the layout diagram from tonepad.com or generalguitargadget.com

the one thing you don't want to do is buy one of these 'craptastic' mass produced guys. cheap stomp, cheap jacks, cheap wire.
zooboo charges $81 bux for a single loop which is about the sm as anything mass produced but this will have much better quality - with all the playing out you do that'll be important!

LOL!
You've got a really bad pedal habit there.
You're right, quality loop pedals are cheap and easy to throw together on your own. I replaced the SPDT switch in my Crybaby with a DPDT one so it's true bypass now. I bought a few and made a loop box with another. It doesn't have an LED so the DPDT worked fine. Another good thing to do is put a pedal with a buffer in it at the end of your chain.

yes, I'm addicted... at this point it's gonna have to be all about replacing cause I simply can't add anything more!

afa buffer... I thought about mentioning a buffer but both pedals he mentioned all ready have fet buffers so... if he's using at least one of them he'll be buffered and if not he's only going thru a few pedals so... s/b ok.

buffer at the FRONT of your chain is technically better, in fact craig anterton suggests it's best to have one built-into your gtr if at all possible.
not sure I'd go that far.

my understanding is that a buffer will only preserve what you have and if the signal degrades thru twenty feet of cable at the front... you can only preserve that degraded signal altho I suspect that even having a buffer at the end would likely improve the the fidelity of the entire chain.

I did the sm thing to my 1974 crybaby... those wah pedals tend to be the #1 cause of tone loss.

if you are interested in getting semi-true bypass from a dpdt WITH THE LED, go look up the millenium bypass. it's based on the original bypass circuit from the proco rat. works very well altho 3pdt have become so cheap I'm not sure it's entirely pragmatic.

cheers!
