JW, you're the man..

I don't understand why you bother to play anything else considering your singer sounds like BON SCOTT.

That's kind of rare around here.

(edited for content)

But seriously, AC*DC vocals are not for the timid or inexperienced.
I never met anyone who sounded as close.

It makes me laugh a little, since you play stuff like BULLS ON PARADE, and yet you don't play but 4 or 5 ac*dc tunes.

Guess you are still trying to outrun your age, talk about "dying tired".

You going to rap next? Or reinvent the wheel>?

Capt my band is not a tribute band, we play the stuff that we want to play and most of it is just what I would call aggressive rock. But we cover everything from Elvis on up thru the Chilli Peppers, we have one of the hardest rocking set list of any cover band that I know of in our area and most of the time when we paly we pack the house, so whatever it is we do works at the level that we play at. If I at an earlier age I had decided to pursue music as a true career choice I have no dount in my mind that I would be as big as I wanted to be, but life choices get in the way, marriage, kids, mortgages, family and all the stuff that everyone either faces up to or avoids. I chose making a solid living and doing things on my own terms, which I still do to this day. I accept that i am a weekend warrior, plain and simple.

Our singer can do the Bon Scott stuff very well, so thanks for the props.

I actually in the various things Im doing probably play as wide a variety of music as anyone that Ive read about on here.

Classic Rock, Bluegrass, Contemporary Christian, Gospel, Jazz, Blues even recently Ive started sitting in with a country group.

For me music is just that music, genres dont matter much anymore. Most of the people or bands that I play with determine what we can play.

Capt I dont know what you mean about "dying tired", When I die all I can hope for is laying on my death bed that I can look back and not regret anything Ive done or said, but I will be kicking and screaming right to the end!

As far as reinventing the wheel Im working on that and will keep you posted.

I know you enjoy picking at me for some reason, maybe to see if I get fired up, but what you say or do has no bearing on my life, Im doing the things that I want to do and on my terms. I hope that whatever you are doing musically is working for you.

I go into the studio next week to start recording some country sounding acoustic songs Ive written over the past few months, I also have about 20 rock songs Ive written in the can for my band if they want to use them if not who knows, once I write a song I pretty much just forget about it, cause for me it just indicates a place my head is at for a certain time period. Music is a very disposable item to me these days, I just try to grab whatever I can from it. And then move on to the next thing.

No, Jw you annoy me but not in a major way.

I just find your way a waste, when you could be either a really ripping original band or an equally destructive ac/dc cover band when they are so few good ones.

But by all means, play what you want to. Not like I'd take any advice from you on what I should play, I just figured I'd be honest with ya.

For what it's worth..

PS: Don't rap, you'd be heading into clown country and no one wants to see or hear that.
