Shredd, Man I screwed up. Ive been doing some recording and Ive had 2 power tubes and 1 rec tube pulled in my Triple. Last night at a recirding session I decide to put all the tubes back in. I go to power up and nothing. I pull the tube and it is blown. The guy had a 5150 amp sitting there so I just used it. Later I looked at my tubes. The rec tube i had put back in has a broken alignment pin and I put it in wrong. The crazy thing is I actually had set the amp to Silicon Diodes for the night, which I thought took the rec tubes out completely. I also pulled a good one in that I couldnt find my spare fuses. I thought there was a little box in my gig bag, but I couldnt find them so Ive got to get some new fuses.

Anyway I hope when I put a fuse in that I didnt damage the amp.

Oh yeah I had also replaced the preamp tubes with those GEs I won and some Mullard knockoffs. But I never got to hear them.

You know anytime you go to dickin with stuff shithappens.

Followup. I put in a new fuse and played for about 3 hours last night so I guess the amp is ok.

auto fuses arent the right kind, they might get you thru in a bind, but you need the slow burn kind Bussman makes little packs with a pair in there for 1.99, mine are 4 amps but I noticed at Home Depot they have them in different amperages.

Dang I not sure even where to look on my amp for the fuse. Better pull my head out and get fuse and tubes to spare. I been carring my little Ibanez I keep in the office with a mic for back up. Ray busted a brand new string on the Fourth, first song too. First time I've seen that young man really pissed. I offered him my 3/4 Strat as a back up and he looked at me like I'd lost my mind. "3/4 ?" Worked out though he had plenty time to restring between sound check and first set. I'm no pro but I am ever more impressed with my Carvin RX1200 PA. Damn near idiot proof. We were fully set in 30 min. From Jeep & trailer to live sound. I figure if I color code the speaker and instrument / mic cables I can cut 10 minuets off of that.

George, your fuse should be in the back of the amp, its a little push in and turn deal. These fuses are like the old school auto fuses, the round ones. It might be handy to have one on hand, but as in my case before you replace it and turn the amp on again. Try to figure out what is wrong with the amp first. Something happened to make the fuse short, its just doing its job.
