hey ya'all,
i'm new here and i'm having trouble uploading a mp3.i've
tried 5 times now without success.i've inquired to support
twice, and gotten no reply. the mp3 is just under 4 MB's.
now i'm wondering do you have to be a premier member
to upload mp3's? if anyone (staff/support,or anybody)can
help me out here i'de sure appreciate it. thank ya'all.

Hi Myke,

I can't help you with your upload problem but I can tell you that I was able to upload mine and I don't have a premium membership. :?

hey koolin82,
thanks for you're reply.i'm just now figuring out that you have to
be a premier member to contact any other members too. there's
a bass player here in Memphis listed here that i'de like to contact,
but i can't.that really blows! i've never been on a site where you
could join for free, but had to be a paid member to comunicate
with another member.once again, that really blows.that being the
case,i'm probably not gonna hang around.anyways, thanks again
for your reply.

Sammick 1,
nice sentiment, and i can appreciate it.but i'm getting replies from
members,not management/support.example:in my message
section when i click sent messages,it says 0 sent messages.wrong!
i've sent numerous messages for help from support.nothing.i have
artistpages at IAC,and Garageband.com,and when you ask for help
from their support team, they get back to you within minutes! and
by the way, neither of them want money to let you communicate
with other members, let alone post mp3's.other than this forum,
every time i try to do something on this site i'm taken to a page that
say's become a premier member.every time! now i know some who read this
are gonna say "well if IAC,and Garageband.com are so great, why
are you messin around here?" now i'm finding myself asking the
same thing.

1) As a freebie subscriber [with no performance incentive to upgrade]
.
2) uploaded older mp3s created on a Dell PC in PowerTracks with a TurtleBeach soundcard played fine when less than 3.8 or so Meg.
.
3) When total memory sum used for 2 mp3s < 4.5meg, the last one uploaded sounded like digital roadkill. OoooKaaaayy...deleted them and reuploaded reversing the sequence..same behavior
.
4) my "new and improved" HP PC has its sound thingy soldered on the motherboard and refuses to use the TurtleBeach PCI regardless of designation and disabling efforts via device manager, even when the HP factory driver is deleted.. so?, when using the HP soundcard the MP3s play at twice the speed. Running XP, DSL. The resident Windows Media/MovieMaker, Real, & Flash Players ALL play just fine. Response from tech support: I had exceeded my 5meg limit and should upgrade.
.
5) next deleted the files, logged off, went offline, powered down, goofed off for an hour, came back, uploaded a 405k [ HP generated] sized mp3.. same behavior.. no reply from Tech Support.

~~ go figure ~ or elsewhere ~~~ this site's player is not very robust [trying not to imply it sucks, is lame & their "tech support" is a misnomer.. wudda never admitted I would miss those off-shore folks in India, until now]... too bad
