So with the account level that costs nothing, I cannot use the "contact" link in search results?

I had found a band-seeking-member that I was interested in contacting, but when I clicked the link (looks like an envelope) I got a page inviting me to upgrade.

Selecting Continue re-displayed the Upgrade page, selecting maybe later apparently aborted the attempt to make contact...

Yeah, that's the way it is here.
