I've posted two different topics and the past three days that have vanished off the planet.One was about viewing EXIT 20's website and the other about EXIT 20 looking for an agent.Is there a reason for them being removed?I didn't think they were that sensitive not to be posted and if so say something.I try not to violate any bandmix agreements...

Hey EXIT 20, certainly appreciate your involvement on the forum and the site in general.

To answer your question, our moderators remove anything that does not meet our editorial guidelines. That can simply be broken down into two groups for the most part outside of inappropriate images or comments, including:

1. People that try to contact other musicians via the forum- This is what our search engine is for, and is far more effective. If you are looking for a drummer in Crossville, TN for example, there is a slim chance anyone will happen to be reading the forum with that specific need.

2. Promotion just for promoting- The forum is a place for open discussion on the industry. We allow linking to other sites like yours, but only in a case where the discussion topic is first priority. Posts that focus on promotion only and are not geared towards eliciting a response from other users are deleted.

Hope this clarifies things a little. Focusing on content has been a great direction for this forum, as it helps attract good debate among very talented people. Before implementing our policy, the forum became disorganized and under used due to some people (not you) shamelessly promoting random sites and products.
