If you are a musician, and have not heard the Twelve Girls.
You may be all alone in the dark.

Derek Sherinian was one of the keyboard players from Dream Theater. It's hard to get but any of his solo stuff is amazing. He invites several guests and friends to record and the results are amazing. Instrumental rock/fusion of all types.

YYZ / La Villa Strangiato !!

Not really a full instrumental, but the song By-Tor and the Snow Dog (on their first live album) goes into some insane instrumental stuff for about 10 minutes.

Also zep's live version of dazed and confused... also not all instrumental, but damn moody and easy to listen to again and again.

I'm glad that someone mentioned Dream Theater. We must not have many bass players answering this forum though, or someone would have mentioned Jaco, Stanley Clark, Victor Wooten (solo and with Bela Fleck and The Flecktones), Jeff Berlin, and Steve Bailey.
