I was watching TV with my kids and saw an add for a new Whitesnake album. Anybody know anything. I used to like them, I know they always had some hotrod guitarist. I was wondering if thats David Coverdale in the adds, cause he looks 20 yrs younger than he used to.

I haven't seen that. I hate glam metal but love LOVE whitesnake. Coverdale is a legend. I'm sure it's got to be him. I like the 1978 trouble album. The guitar sounds on that album are my FAVORITE guitar sounds ever. 1990's slip of the tongue has silig ships. Man I'm stoked to hear new material from them. Thanks for the heads up.

I know they're on a small tour in Europe (England at least) with Def Leppard and Black Stone Cherry. Dunno bout the album though.

Saw them open for Tull back in '79...they sucked swamp water. I walked out until they were done.

I always saw them as a Zep wannabe knock off. I guess I never gave them a fair shake. To be honest the FM's around here took one or two of their tunes and played them to death. Got to the point I'd just turn it of on the first riff.

I remember in the 80's they were one of those bands that
MTV had in heavy, heavy rotation. Tawney Kittain(sp) was
featured displaying her fleshly d-lites all through the vids and
I believe Adrianne Vandenburg was one of the guitarists ??
I agree with Sanshouheil about the Zep sound. Not as blatant
as Kingdom Come, the other Zep-a-bes they were in that
same MTV time period.

80's metal RULES !!!

Just a heads-up, I'd say it's 70s n 80s rock.. 80s metal would include Pantera, MetallicA .. you know the 10 thrash bands or so =P
