 stone sour has set the bar high. following their first great disc with the totally amazing COME WHATEVER MAY. i have been in total awe of these guys for some time now, and corey taylor has firmly cemented his position as a real genius frontman. his wordplay and delivery is simply amazing. and this is in addition to corey and james roots killer work in SLIPKNOT! anyone else out there feel the same ?

It's amazing how much I dislike Slipknot, yet I dig Stone Sour. Corey's definitely a great vocalist, in my book.

 Andragon, of the two bands stone sour is my clear favorite. this is due to the sheer musicality of what they do. the contrast between flowing groove and absolute rage could not be more perfect as far as im concerned. there is a real synergy to their music. and the way they convey different moods and vibes is simply stellar. whereas slipknot is pure, rude, ugliness . which works beautifully for them.( no doubt due to corey's actual ability to sing-a real voice with amazing range and emotion, and NOT JUST BE ANOTHER COOKIE MONSTER CLONE!!!). by the way thats a KILLER avatar you've got there.

lmao cookie monster.. that's the best description of screamers... you got a point, but it boils down to personal taste.. I just don't like the whole bunch Slipknot n Limp Bizkit altogether.
Yea, thanks.. I'm into "pyro" pics lol

Oof that is a bad sign when the guys with the rubber masks are outplaying the field.

I saw Slipknot at Ozzfest a LONG time ago. I think it was also when i saw Fear Factory. (nice pit and dust clouds)

No I like the smell of burning rubber but they are out of my genre appreciation, as is Fear Factory.

I hear that all the time though, "why can't or why won't you play heavier like this". Truth is, I think the only way people can play well is to play what they really love. I.E. If you don't love it, people can hear it and will pick up on that.

You speak the truth!
