If it weren't for the fans, music would not be an industry. And obviously, the fans are gonna have an opinion. You can love it or hate it, but in the end, opinions are what make you successful. So it's better if you learn to love the stanky sweet smell of assholes!

Eddie Money actually wrote his biggest selling single (forget the song title) on toilet paper while he was in a public restroom. I have written two songs on toilet paper myself. The best toilet paper for songwriting is definitely Charmin. It's almost as good as notebook paper. When you have a moment of inspiration when on the crapper it pays to carry a pen with you at all times. If you don't write those inspired lyrics down immediately then you may lose the thought forever. I believe it was Walt Whitman who penned these immortal words: "Just like commodes in a setting of mold, they give promise of toilets untold." See, you just never know when toilets and toilet paper might come in real handy someday. Later...

More of what im meaning is music is a form of expression.......it just seems like a waste of breath to argue or debate who is the BEST. I know most americans have competitive blood that makes everything a superbowl of opinions......... I guess it all depends on if your working for an end result................or just prefer to jack off.......with out a result.....like me  :(

Maybe if you practice changing hands you could gain a stroke
I'm happy when the song I play tonight is better than the way I played it the last time. I only compete with myself. I would like that in A FEW YEARS I would be able to sit in and play with anyone, any genre. I dont want to blow anyone away ( I got S&W for that ) just be able to complement what they are doing. To be a part of the music not outside of it.

I second that! I definately compete with myself...comes with the red hair I'm told  I chose to be on the outside of music for many years & regret it, so am working on getting myself to a point where I can sit down with other musicians as you said and not feel inadequate...I would rather feel confident in my skill vs desire, kwim?

Yes that will be a great feeling. I know there will always be better musicians for me to learn from. But I would like to contribute as well.
Not just take. I'm glad someone knows how I feel.

They are stretchin it for me vocally...... so let me know if you can tell...........if im stretchin too much.
