John or Jason (Bonham)?

Mark Zonder of Fates Warning - excellent techniques. He also did (has) a modern-edge band, Slaviour.

I remembered the guy from Fates Warning's name; Mark Zonder (the most off-time signatures I've ever heard) and as I said prior, Gene Hoglan. Steve Jacobs, who played in Forbidden, on two cd's; Green and Distortion...Amazing!

It depends what you want to call metal. Danny Carey was amazing. The guy plays insane off the wall time signatures without breakin the beat. I haven't seen Joey Jordison from Slipknot up here yet. I don't really care for slipknot but Joey Jordison is just an animal on the drums.
