List some of your favorite guitar solos. It doesn't matter how flashy it is, just ones that always stood out to you for what ever reason.

Eagles - Hotel California
Steely Dan - Realin' in the Years
Collective Soul - Heavy
Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb...and so many more Floyd songs
Ram Jam - Black Betty
Dire Straits - Sultans of Swing
Kansas - Carry on our Wayward Son
Metallica - too many to mention (TMTM)
Van Halen - TMTM

I don't have time to list anymore, let's see what you have to add!

Jimmy Page, the Heartbreaker solo
Eddie Van Halen, Eruption
Ace Frehley, His solo from Kiss Alive

These just all stand out to me.

I like this question. My favorite solos are as follows:

1. Unforgiven (Kirk Hammett - Metallica)
2. Hotel California (Joe Walsh/Don Felder - The Eagles)
3. Walk With Me In Hell (Mark Morton - Lamb of God)
4. The God The Failed (Kirk Hammett - Metallica)
5. While My Guitar Gently Weeps (Written and performed by Eric Clapton for The Beatles).
6. Cemetary Gates (Dimebag Darrell - Pantera)
7. Tornado of Souls (Marty Friedman - Megadeth)
8. Shine (Collective Soul)
9. Do You Feel Like We Do (Peter Frampton)

I could name probably 100 more, lol. There are many great solos out there.

Alice in Chains "Man in the Box" solo is awesome, FastFret. As for RATM, A lot of Tom Morello's stuff rocks, he uses all those whammy pedals and stuff, creating all those phaser sounds, it rocks.

Thinking of solos, one of the coolest is "Ordinary World" (Duran Duran). It just copies the main theme of the song, but it sounds cool.

Another awesome solo is "The God That Failed," by Metallica.

Peace out guys, GuitarAnatomy.
