There are so many, but lately I've been so keen on MetallicA's S&M.. I think it was surprisingly, intensely and insanely cool.
Seether's "One Cold Night"
Nirvana's album that you mentioned (Free Bird haha)
AIC's MTV one was really cool. So raw.
Pearl Jam's acoustic session that was recorded badly was cool too.
Bryan Adams had a live album out.. I'm not a fan of the WHOLE album, but my favorite recording is "I'm Ready."
Feck, I can't think of the others, but there are many.

I'm going with RUSH, their "A Show of Hands" live album. I'm slack-jawed and catching flies every time I hear it.
I'm not much into live CD's (after hearing that most of it isn't always "live", but here goes...
Dream Theater's "Live Scenes from New York"
Dream Theater's "Saucerful of Floyd"
Zebra "Live" (great version of Zepplin's "the Ocean"
Genesis "Three Sides Live"
Genesis "Achives" ("the Lamb Lies Down on Broadway")
As for KISS... my fav is Alive II (I was only 6 when it came out).
