Sweet, loved the Puppy! "Hot Smoke and Sassafras" was a killer. Check out this link to read the backstory.

If you're talking obscure bands, think of Set The Tone and The One O'Clock Gang, both featuring Kenny Hyslop (who had also been in Simple Minds - see http://www.myspace.com/kennyhyslop). Also Those French Girls, Baby Go Boom, and Win!

"String Driven Thing" - an obscure '70's band from the UK that played rock without a drummer - yes, it's possible!

"Nektar" - '70's art rock band from the UK

"Savoy Brown" - '70's west coast USA

"Klaatu" - when they came out ('70's again!} they were touted as another one of those bands that "sounds like the Beatles!" One of thier songs was covered by the Carpenters, of all ppl! ("Calling Occupants [From Interplanetary Craft]")

(she dropped me the bomb & dirty boys i think) how about Steve Hillage? anybody remember him? David Peel & the east side kids (Have a Marijuana) whoa...hows that one?
