Oh, man, HJ! I LOVED that band!

"Last Chance Saloon" was a way cool track from them.

Never heard 'em jam quite like this though!

Yep, they was cookin'!

I do believe that that performance was not from 69 as I previously stated. The tune was recorded in 69, but the video was from a Don Kirshner TV concert, probably early 80's.

Still a nice bit of obscure rock history.

HowlinJ wrote:To tell ya the truth, Capt., it;s amazing any of us impressionable lower middle class white kids in the 60's even got to hear the somewhat pornographic rockers The Fugs.

Saunders, Ginsburg and company also had a very cool album released a bit later called Tenderness Junction. It was remarkable because it was on Frank Sinatra's label "Reprise". I often wondered if 'OL Blue Eyes ever actually listened to any Fugs music. That album featured one of my favorite Fugs tunes, Wet Dream. Unfortunately, I was unable to locate a You- Tube of it.

They had an instrumental song (aside from some yodeling) called Hocus Pocus that got a lot of airplay in the 70's early 80's.
