They Might Be Giants also did the theme song to Malcom in the Middle, as well as those quirky Dunkin Donuts commercials, and now they're doing songs for the Disney Channel and the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse (I have a 2-yr old... so I get to enjoy their music again).

"Ana Ng" was my personal favourite.

The Refreshments was an almost obscure band. Only two of their songs got airplay around here and I thought every song on both CDs were great. The also did the theme song for "King of the Hill".

Ooooh - here's one I haven't thought of in like 30 years - have you ever heard of "Jade Warrior?"

In the early 90's there was a band, the Pursuit of Happiness, that had a song I loved... I think it was called "I'm an Adult Now". I remember it had a line "I can't look at girls anymore, people will think I'm some kind of pervert".

There was also a band called Jellyfish that had a quite a groovy tune. I can't think of that one... I'll have to do a search when I get a chance.

Forget the singer, it was the guy with the "cybernetic implant" he used to play guitar.

(I don't think he even played it, he just thought the music and the implant did the rest) lol

Bohemian Vendetta - they were a band from Long Island in the late 60's. They also could be listed in the "Worst Covers" thread with their versions of "(I Can't Get No) Satisfaction" and "the House of the Rising Sun" (sorry Art... I mean Brian). I just noticed that their songs are on iTunes.

Check these guys out. They're a Boston band from the late 60's and I used to have this song on a 45 rpm 7 inch! (can't believe I found it on You-Tube)

The song sorta sucks, but I always dug the Bach style cheesy combo organ. Very cool. 8)

definatly obscure,
Howlin

No one's ever heard of these guys

Sky King-a killer jazz/funk band from the 70's featuring Dave Brubeck's son Chris on bass.

Obscure band found by Ray Wylie Hubbard (Ref: Snake Farm)-"a band from Wales that's called the Alarm."
