Killswitch engage also influences me, not so much from their riffs, but their sound, in ex. Desperate times..anyone have a clue on the gear used for that song?

I might have to say the band that influence my voice would have to be either be Lamb of God or Mudvayne.
My songwriting from Linkin Park
My drumming from Chris Adler/Mick Fleetwood
and my guitarist says his biggest influence on playing would be Mick Thomson from Slipknot and his rapping from Eminem/Mike Shinoda/Corey Taylor

Probably Rush would be #1 since I started playing Guitar and Bass because of them.

and Alex Harvey.... Because sometimes they call him the midnight Moses!!

Alex Inspired Kiss and AC/DC

Ian Paice and Deep Purple between 1970-75, In Rock changed my musical taste for life and I just HAD to be a drummer after listening to Made in Japan on a ratty old portable tape player in '73. These guys could improvise forever and still sound great. Many have had an influence since - but these were the first. 8)

Good call Carl. "In Rock" was huge. I saw DP in 1972 in support of "Fireball" with Uriah Heep opening, what a great show.

Bad Religion probably, I have other real close ones but Bad Religion was the 1st real band I got into. As a vocalist Geoff Tate and Rob Halford are my biggest influences, but Bad Religion taught me great lyrics and vocal hooks.
