Don'rt know if you're being bias but I feel Joe Satriani should be on that list.

A lot of folks confuse skills with popularity. Such polls in guitar Magazines often have people that can't really play at all in the top 100, and even in the top 10 or even the the guy in the #1 spot is rather an odd choice in my opinion. Musicians seldom list the true masters such as Andrés Segovia in these topics. But the "Greatest Guitar Player Ever should be more at who is YOUR Favorite guitarist. Too broad a question. Who is your favorite hard rock player, or who is your favorite Jazz guitar player, or country picker and so forth would make such topics more interesting.

There are so many different styles, it really depends on what you like.

David Gilmour
Toni Iommi
Terry Kath

Based on creativity. They had unique styles that really shined through on the music.
