The Who - Quadrophenia

A lot of people think they should not bill themselves as the Who since Moon and Entwistle died, but they still rock.
Tickets went on sale through the fanclub today for the Quad tour starting in October or November. If last year's Tommy tour by Daltrey was any indication, this should be a good one - could be Townshend's electric tour due to his hearing issues.

I ended up joining the fanclub (it's an option through Ticketbastard) and got 11th row for the February show in Manchester, NH! Think I may play this one safe and use earplugs.

This album and Who's Next are my favorites from the Who.

Oddly enough, Quadrophenia was panned by "critics" when it was first released.

I love all the Who's stuff, but I think my favorite is,
Meaty Beaty Big and Bouncy, isn't that the one that's
kinda of a greatest hits, with the Kids Are Alright, on it,
I love that tune.

yeah, those are two of my faves too. i'd have to throw "Live At Leeds" in there as well.

i'd easily put "Who's Next" on the top ten R&R best albums ever.

Quadrophenia is The Who's best work in my opinion. Despite their shortage of a couple members, they're still one of my favorite bands of all time.

If you missed the Who's Quadrophenia 40th anniversary tour last year .... you missed a great one.
I put a bunch of videos from the show on my 'other people's music' youtube channel: http://www.youtube.com/fflbrgst
