Hey, howzabout Bela Fleck's great bass player Victor Wooten & the strangest drummer I ever saw -"Futureman?" They are without a doubt the very best I ever heard or saw.

I'll say my all time fav. bass player is Matt Freeman of Rancid. Granted he's more of a converted guitarist, but his lead style of playing made me want to play bass when I was a kid. Check our some of his stuff.

shoot heres a couple of bass/drum combinations for you greg lake/karl palmer takes a lot of talent to keep the core of a song going around a set of keys as crazy as emersons justin cancellor/ danny carey off timing or blended double bass jazz lines those guys seem to be able to make it happen
