You know, when he died, he had recently notified Ozzy that he'd be leaving the band after the end of the tour to go to Classical Guitar School in Italy.

You know, it is a difficult question. But taking everything into account, I would say the greatest rock guitarist ever is Steve Morse. Look him up.

There is no best ,only favorites and that depends on my mood and what I'm listening to at that time.At this writing I would say Page,Hendrix,Wylde,Iomi,Nugent,May,FrehleyTipton,Downinig,Lifeson and Young and never in any kind of order again it depends on the day.

So many, Chet Atkins always amazed me. Satch of course and I think an under rated phenom was Tom Scholz from Boston... and how about the original shredder Derringer?

Rock guitar would have died a slow, agonizing, death had Eddie not come along in 78' and resurrected it.


Fair Warning hasn't left the CD changer in my car in 20 years, it just never gets old.

I would say that Brent Mason is one of the best players of our time. Jut my 2 cents.
