Amazing live performer, too. My son is officially in love with her - she does seem like the ultimate musician's girlfriend (you should see her freaking pedalboard... mmmmm!)
Got to grooveshark or rhapsody, do a search for her and listen to "the Strangers" "laughing with a mouth full of blood" and "your lips are red".
Her music does really inspire me to think more about melody and unique-ness. And her arrangements are so open and airy, but still very complex and full-sounding. I think she's an absolute genius.
