I like the Australian band names...

The Fixx

Men At Work

Not Drowning, Waving

Aside from those, Dead Can Dance is pretty good, too

Oh cmon. Tool takes the cake.
I mean, it's an innuendo (as far as penis goes..ummm no pun intended, I swear 8) ) and Maynard (the singer, for those of you who dunno) said he called his music "a tool" that becomes an outlet for them.
To top it all of their logo is... well, they say a picture is worth blah blah, so:

LOL...I bought a used truck about 12 yrs ago that had that sticker on the back window, & I thought it was some tool co. logo, so I left it there.

Never even heard of the band for a long time after I started to drive that thing around, until one day this guy came up & asked where I'd seen them.

All I could do was give him this blank look, & tell him it came with the truck.

I am so uninformed out here in the sticks! It isn't my fault that I live in a radio wasteland.

Tool falls in a metal/progressive category. They only had a few hits on the radio, but what does radio mean other than more money n more trouble?

They put a bunch of great albums out, but only a few were "radio-friendly." Check em out. The bass is hot. You should check out the album Undertow.. early 90s.. Try songs like "Bottom" or "Sober."
