he basically takes being a bassist to the next level he treats it like the lead instrument and makes the guitarist go on extended breaks

thats the thing tho... that gtr player has more options to solo than ever cause less's playing takes the space of a bassist and a rythm guitarist. Don't know how he can sing doing the stuff he does either. Unbelievable.

Hell yes to Primus! My bro and I actually have a Primus cover band...we of course don't play anywhere near as good as Primus actually does, but we have fun. We call ourselves "The Stacy Keach Peach Brigade". The tracks we currently play by Primus are:

Too Many Puppies
John the Fisherman
Laquerhead
Hats Off
Golden Boy
DMV
My Name is Mud
De Anza Jig

We're also considering learning the following:

Those Damn Blue Collar Tweakers
Bob
Harold of the Rocks
Mr. Krinkle
Jerry was a Race Car Driver
Winona's Big Brown Beaver
The Air is Getting Slippery
Pilcher's Squad

There are several others, but those are the big ones we'd like to learn. We play a few originals, but I honestly prefer playing the covers.

primus isnt hard on guitar i can play a lot of their stuff not all the way through because i suck but its pretty easy but after seeing most of the bass i went into a coma from the shock.

Definitely a unique band. Les is a legend. I don't find myself craving their material, but have always wanted to see Les live. He is a ground breaker but his bass sound is a little to clicky for me and his vocals too quirky. I'd like to hear him in a traditional bass player role with a good lead singer with strong material.

I don't know to much of his material but the few bits I've looked up seem to blend bass and rhythm and require a really nice tone on your bass or else all you'll get is clicks and slurring fart sounds that are audibly similar to garbage (mes hates it) and oh yeah...the dude has a bass with wammy bar...who do I have to kill to get me one of those?

Good Lord Teddy!,

If you learn to work your fretless, you wont need some silly ol' whammy.

Slide on down, Bass Man,
